Tayside Centre for General Practice - 2007 Conference

The latest developments in teaching and research for General Practitioners will be discussed at the annual conference of the Tayside Centre for General Practice at Hilton Dunkeld House, in Dunkeld on May 8th and 9th 2007.

Around 80 GPs, teaching staff, trainers and students will attend the conference, which allows participants to exchange ideas and join workshop discussions on many of the issues facing general practice.

Tayside Centre for General Practice is part of the University of Dundee Medical School. Based at Ninewells Hospital, it offers integrated teaching and research in primary care.

Among the speakers at the conference are Professor Frank Sullivan, Head of the Community Health Sciences Division at the University of Dundee, Dr Jon Dowell and Dr David Bruce, respective Directors of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies at Tayside Centre for General Practice (TCGP), and Dr Mairi Scott, Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners Scotland and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, TCGP.

During the conference prizes will be awarded to undergraduate students from each of the first three years of degree studies. The students are asked to make a presentation based on an aspect of primary care work they have carried out during their studies.
