Fun for all the family at the Botanic Gardens

The University of Dundee’s Botanic Garden will host their annual Family Fun Day this Saturday (28th APRIL), from 10am to 4pm.

Everyone from young children to the elderly will be entertained with a wide range of activities including badge making, bush trials, bee keepers and face painting.

There will be a performance by the University of Dundee’s Lip Theatre Company who will present Alice Through the Looking Glass which was a hit for them earlier this year. There will also be a chance to meet the Countryside Rangers.

Alasdair Hood, Curator for the Botanic Gardens, says "Family fun day is a mixture of interesting fun activities with a subtle blend of education. We want to engage the public about plants and about their importance to us all. If we can fit in words such as biodiversity loss and the role of Botanic Gardens we will be pleased."

BBQ food will be available at the café and activities will take place undercover in case of bad weather.

The entry is £3 for an adult, £2 for senior citizens and £1 for children. Children under 3 will go free and children under 12 must be accompanied.

The Coffee Shop will be open from 9.00am to 5.00pm and Gifts and plants will also be for sale.
