Exams update

The University of Dundee can announce that, despite the national dispute over the 2006 annual pay increase, all centrally timetabled exams for this year will proceed according to schedule, beginning on Monday April 24th.

Around 12,000 undergraduates are set to sit their exams at the University over the course of the next month, with around one quarter of those being final exams before graduation. Students can access the main University website - http://www.dundee.ac.uk/registry/ - for all exam times and locations, and should report to their examination halls as normal.

"All the examination papers have been submitted by academic staff and we are ready to start the examinations on Monday," said David Duncan, Secretary of the University.

"We very much welcome the collaboration and help of all academic staff who have worked hard to ensure the examinations timetable is firmly in place and that students can complete this year of their studies."

"We would once again urge all the parties involved in national pay talks to resume negotiations and reach an agreed settlement as soon as possible."
