Master of Design (MDes)

Knowledge economies possess a number of key characteristics that require designers to work with the growing occurrence of unpredictable scenarios. The aim of the Master of Design programme is to equip designers with the skill of sustaining and renewing knowledge throughout their careers. By using visual thinking as a tool, design practice as method and action research (for example) as methodology, students grow in confidence developing their design process and their ability to work with indeterminate problems.

This approach can deepen a designer's ability to cope with change, take risks as a means of generating innovative approaches to design and enrich their ability to communicate, and be comfortable with, the indeterminate nature of design.
