a retrospective
A unique retrospective exhibition for an undergraduate who tragically died at the age of 19, was put together by his fellow students at the Visual Research Centre at the University of Dundee in May 2001. David Hill, a third year student from Motherwell, died in November 2000 after a short illness.
Even at that age he was regarded as highly accomplished and brimming with potential. Working in his favourite medium, watercolour and oil he typically produced large scale portraits including a self portrait completed days before taking ill and titled 'Pieces of Me'.

Gillian Tilson, MA 1993 - Alan (Punky) Wilkinson, MA 1992 Both previously held office in Sports Union Executive in early 90s. They have married since graduating and now have a daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth, born prematurely in Oxford on 19 October 2000 (6lb 4oz).
Phoebe Brownlee, BSc (Zoology) 1993 - Andrew Aitken, LLB, 1993 & Dip Legal Practice 1994 Both previously held office in Sports Union Executive in early 90s. They have married since graduating and now have a daughter Abigail Susan. Born on 25 November 2000 in Viersen (near Dusseldorf) weighing 7lbs 6oz.

Susan J Clark, MA 1974 - Paul Easto, BSc Town & Regional Planning 1975 Married on 21 April 2001 in a ceremony conducted by former University Chaplain, Fraser Macnaughton. The best man was graduate, Neil Birnie. While at University, Paul was captain of DU Golf Club and Susan was President of Sports Union Executive.
Wendy Smith, MA 1995 - Paul Ford, BAcc 1995 Married on 30 June 2001. The couple met in first year at Chalmers Hall Residence. Among the graduates at the wedding were Derek Clark, Niall Depledge, Gareth Lyle and Peter Lyon.
Jane Claire McCall, MA 2000 - Andrew Judson, BSc 1999, MSc App Comp 2001 Andrew is working in Applied Computing Department on ICU-Talk Project.
Jonathan McDevitt, Bachelor of Medicine 1996 - Fiona de Zeeuw, Bachelor of Medicine 1997 Married at Ballywillan Presbyterian Church, Portrush.
