The Annual exhibition is an exciting opportunity to see the final exhibitions of over 200 students from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. The entire college is transformed into one massive exhibition showing a wide variety of innovative ideas, objects and images.
This is always a popular exhibition with the public, as it is an opportunity to see and buy tomorrow's art works, today.

The University of Dundee's Visual Research Centre, within Dundee Contemporary Arts, has provided a new area of opportunity for students of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art which will make this year's Annual Exhibition accessible to an even wider audience. This year, the School of Jewellery and Metalwork's exhibition can be seen in the Design Room, Level 1 of the Visual Research Centre and from 10.-11.00am, Saturday 19th, and 12-1.30pm, Monday 21st, screenings of work from the School of Television and Electronic Imaging can be seen in Cinema 2, Dundee Contemporary Arts.
It is impossible to provide a comprehensive list of this year's Degree Show exhibiters but the following outline hopefully provides a few points of interest:
A richly varied exhibition which includes insightful and highly skilled figuration, vibrant large scale abstract paintings, an interactive object where the viewer can activate a real sheep's tongue and an installation where a garden shed is excavated as if it were an Egyptian archeological site.

The Sculpture, exhibition ranges from very delicate works in paper and balsa wood to heavy metal structures and shows a strong use of Photography. Installation also features prominently, in particular John Green's mad scientist's laboratory featuring a home-made spaceship.

This year's students have experimented with digitally manipulated images and installations as well as the more traditional techniques of etching and woodcuts. A work by Malena Astrom features images, light and sound whilst Richard Blass confronts the viewer with a bombardment of images, artefacts and sounds which relate to his own personal history and to the cultural history of the Twentieth Century.

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art's Time Based Arts course is unique in Britain. This year's exhibition includes Alice Forbes' installation involving a car which features the use of light and sound and stems from previous visits to Australia. Robert Page, who recently launched a TV appeal in the Press, presents eight televisions and videos dramatically set to look as if they are exploding.
