CEPMLP Professor leads the way on climate change

Professor Peter Cameron, Director of Research at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy has written the leading chapter in a major new book on climate change law.

Climate Change: A Guide to Carbon Law and Practice features a preface written by The Prince of Wales and provides an in-depth and comprehensive overview of the current climate change issues facing lawyers and other professionals, including accountants, consultants, bankers and tax advisers.

Professor Cameron's chapter gives an overview of how the international law on climate change has developed but highlights that a lack of action to date has resulted in having to adapt to some irreversible damage.

'The book is a practical guide on how the various emissions trading schemes work especially in Europe and on how to move from rhetoric to actually reducing carbon emissions,' said Professor Cameron who is Professor of International Energy Law and Policy and Director of Research at CEPMLP.

More information on the book plus a sample chapter and a table of contents are available at www.gbplawbooks.com/cc.
