Top author coup for Dundee

Naomi Klein, world famous author of No Logo is appearing at a free lecture at the University in May to talk about her new book, The Shock Doctrine.

The University lecture is the only Scottish stop on Naomi's UK tour to promote the new book which has already become an international bestseller.

Shock Doctrine exposes the people with power around the globe who are cashing in on chaos. Whether it is raking in billions out of the tsunami, plundering Russia or exploiting Iraq the book presents a chilling tale of how a few are making a killing while more are being killed.

The talk is held in conjunction with Borders and there will be an opportunity to get signed copies of the book after the event.

The event will be held on Thursday 22nd May at the New Teaching Block, Old Hawkhill, Dundee. The talk is free, but you must have a ticket to attend. Tickets are available from Borders Dundee, from the University of Dundee Tower Reception, from 01382 384768 and from the online store at www.dundee.ac.uk/pressreleases/events.htm#may08.
