Top comic at DUSA for diabetes research

Dave Gorman, one of Britain's most successful comedians, will be appearing at Mono in May to talk about his new adventure and help raise funds to battle diabetes.

The gig, held in conjunction with Borders Book, will take place in The Union, Airlie Place on 2nd May at 7pm. Dave will be signing copies of his new book America Unchained after the gig.

All money raised from the show will be donated to the Diabetes Research Campaign.

The book charts Dave's efforts to travel across the USA without patronising any corporate or chain-style businesses.

Robbie Glendinning, General Manager of Borders Dundee says, "We're all big Dave Gorman fans in the store & those who have seen him before are raving about his live appearances - this will be a fantastic night!"

Professor Dario Alessi, Director of the Dundee Diabetes Research Centre at the University, says, "We are absolutely delighted that such a high profile and fantastic comedian as Dave Gorman has agreed to help the campaign to help raise funding and awareness of this insidious and rapidly escalating disease."

Tickets are £5 and are available from the University of Dundee Student Union shop, from Borders Dundee, Gallagher Retail Park or on line at the store.
