'Distilling Value from Legal Mash'
The University recently welcomed more than 100 delegates from UK and Irish universities to the Universities Safety and Health Associations (USHA) Annual Conference.
Promoting best practice in health and safety management within universities was the underlying theme of the conference which focussed on the theme 'Distilling value from legal mash'.
Seven invited expert speakers presented on developing the skills of digesting the burden of legislation into a user-friendly, proportionate and relevant form while identifying ancillary benefits for the establishment of effective compliance.
Dr Ian Scragg, Head of the University's Occupational Health and Safety Services, helped organised the annual event. He said, "We were proud to host this event in Dundee. It is always a great opportunity to bring Health and Safety professionals together and explore fresh ideas."
