Academic professional development conference
The School of Nursing and Midwifery are this year's hosts for the University of Dundee's Academic Professional Development Conference.
The event, open to all University staff involved in teaching and supporting learning, will take place in the West Park Centre on Tuesday 20th June 2006. The focus is on Supporting Learning through Assessment, led by Professors Sally Brown and Phil Race.
Sally Brown is Pro Vice-Chancellor for Assessment, Learning and Teaching at Leeds Metropolitan University and has published widely on assessment in higher education.
Phil Race is Senior Academic Development Officer at the University of Leeds and is well known for his work in helping students to learn effectively. The event will also include workshops on innovative assessment at Dundee.
The event promises to be a stimulating and thought provoking day. This is a free event open to all staff involved in teaching and supporting learning. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. To register for the event please contact Morag Pollard at m.j.pollard@dundee.ac.uk.
