Greer to present Discovery Lecture

Germaine Greer, veteran feminist and Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Warwick University is to present the Discovery Lecture at the university’s Graduates’ Council event later this year.

Greer, who has recently made a name for herself with reality TV fans after appearing in the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, will visit the university on 25 June. The Discovery Lecture is the finale to the annual Graduates' Council meeting, which invites alumni back to Dundee to hear about the latest developments at the university. Brian Cairns, Convener of Graduates' Council Business Committee, and Chair of the Steering Committee of Dundee University Local Alumni (DULA) is helping to organise the event.

He says, "On behalf of Graduates' Council I extend a warm welcome to all alumni to come along to the annual meeting. This year we are planning to hold the event in the Union which will be an added attraction.

Tickets for the event, which is open to the public, will be available from the University Events Office later this year.
