Culture & Arts Forum

With an extraordinary variety of lectures, concerts, exhibitions and other events, the University plays a crucial role in the culture of Dundee and beyond.

Much of its activities in this sphere were previously co-ordinated by the Arts, Collections & Exhibitions committee, which was disbanded during the Central Services Review of 2001-2. A new group has now been set up called the Culture & Arts Forum, which aims to improve cultural communication and collaboration on campus, and will also take a more pro-active role in promoting the numerous activities going on in the University of which the wider public are often unaware. The Forum is chaired by Curator of Museum Services Matthew Jarron, and also includes representatives of Archive Services, the Botanic Gardens, Conservation, Duncan of Jordanstone College, English, Exhibitions, History and Music.

The Forum's first collaborative project will be a multimedia display to be shown on the plasma screen in the Tower Foyer. Any enquiries to the Forum should be addressed to the Secretary, Caroline Brown of Archive Services.
