International attention for CALS

The Centre for Applied Language Studies (CALS) was under the global spotlight recently, when it made the front cover of the EL Gazette - the most widely read newspaper by language teachers around the world.

CALS was singled out as one of the most promising UK departments in the field of innovative taught postgraduate programmes, along with Oxford and the Open University. CALS has recently introduced the Masters in Teaching Modern Languages to Adults and the Masters in English for Professional Communication, and plans to introduce additional innovative programmes within the next two years.
