SCONUL Research Extra is an innovative scheme for academic staff on open or fixed term contracts and also postgraduate research students registered for a PhD, MPhil or similar qualification awarded purely by research. It provides access to the libraries of 129 higher education institutions in the UK and Ireland.
There is no charge to join the scheme. Simply download a SCONUL Research Extra application form, or request one in any of the University Libraries, then submit your completed form to staff in the Library. If you are eligible for the scheme, you will receive a SCONUL Research Extra Card and you can start borrowing from the University of your choice.
