New Presidents

Maurice Golden has been elected president of DUSA - the second year running that a Dundonian has represented the University's student community. Maurice is currently vice president communications. He graduated with a degree in economics and history in 2001 and is now studying part time towards a MPhil in history.

New Sports Union President
Fourth-year Economics student Spelios Tzedakis, from Athens, has been elected president of the University sports union .

Spelios, 22, - who is also current captain of the University basketball team - has pledged to spend his year as President encouraging a greater number of students to become involved in sports at the University.

He said, "Many students would like to play take part in sport but for various reasons don't get the chance. I plan to get more people involved by making sure there is enough information available on what is on offer here and to be available to all sports clubs to help with any problems they may have."
