Equal opps update

The equal opportunities committee has approved a poster showing photographs of the staff representatives who form the group of harassment and bullying contacts throughout the University campuses.

This is seen as a positive step in promoting the service offered by the group. Harassment can be a source of great stress to an individual. It may be so serious and unrelenting that the person who suffers harassment feels it necessary to change job or change course of study. All members of the University, staff and students, are responsible for helping to ensure that individuals do not suffer any form of harassment, and that they are encouraged and supported in any legitimate complaint.
