The first exhibition of new paintings by two of DJCAD's promising fine art students was held in the lower foyer gallery in November.
Painted Space featured a collection of work examining perceptions of space and environment by fourth year students Sarah Forrest and Isobel Morris. Isobel, from Tiree, records in her work memories of an island environment, while Sarah, from Dundee, concentrates on the presence and absence of the human figure within a controlled space.
The lower foyer gallery is regularly made available to all art students in order to give them experience of staging an exhibition, in preparation for their final year degree show.
