Archie Medes goes to law

A third year student in the television and imaging department has won a competition run by a law firm in Glasgow to create an illustrated character to represent its corporate finance group. "Archie Medes", a bespectacled ancient Greek, secured £1,000 prize money for Phil Molloy and a contract to provide eight more illustrations.

Phil said he was "shocked but very happy" when he heard of his win. He recognised his selection as a "great chance" to see his work in print and praised his lecturer Steve Flack for offering such exciting opportunities. Phil's illustration will feature in the marketing of Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie's corporate finance team.
