
Record logging on A record number of students have registered on the University's computer network this year - some 2,200 so far - and the number is still growing. The 1,000th and 2,000th new students to register were presented with a selection of gifts including MacIntosh Patrick prints and Dundee cakes at a small ceremony arranged by IT Services. The 1,000th student was Yvonne Lai. Originally from Singapore, Yvonne is on an exchange from Trent University, Peterborough, Canada, and she is studying psychology, English and French. Although she has only been here since the start of term Yvonne said: "I like living in Dundee very much and I've found the people very friendly." Barry Coupar was the 2,000th student to register. Second year student Barry, who lives in Broughty Ferry, is studying psychology, politics and philosophy. Pic caption:
